Nyotaimori, “naked sushi” or “body sushi,” is the formerly obscure “Japanese” performing art concerned with eating sushi off the bodies of naked ladies, enthusiastically picked up on by western media as an example of Japan’s perverted culture and probably now enjoyed by far more western perverts than Japanese.
As with many such terms, the meanings in Japanese and English have diverged, but the essential theme of combining food with sex is quite intact.
