Barbarian excluding eroge maker Minori is seemingly not content with excluding non-Japanese visitors from its site in retaliation for being forced into extremes of censorship by its own puritanical ratings body; the risible message on their site claims to be “defending our culture”, but in comments to prying Japanese media their CEO provides another excuse entirely, claiming they are protecting foreigners from making criminals of themselves by visiting their site.

The ill founded notion that by excluding foreign fans the Japanese eroge industry can somehow cut itself off from the world, and that in doing this their own industry and politicians will be somehow be discouraged from banning their works seems to be spreading; now we hear that two additional sites have joined eroge developer Minori in token displays of xenophobia.

Visual novel production company Minori, noted for producing hits such as Ef, Wind and Eden, has responded to the reprehensible decision by Japanese politicians and eroge publishers to ban “rape” eroge by issuing an indiscriminate and nonsensical ban of its own: they have banned all non-Japanese IPs from viewing their site.

A man has been arrested after arranging his wife’s rape on online classifieds site Craigslist.
Another man agreed to the request, and came one night to their house, menacing the wife with a knife and having his way with her even whilst the husband and their two children were present at the home. He too was arrested.
