Perhaps sensing that Kanokon was insufficiently educational, at least where the basics are concerned, a niche sex education manga, ないしょのつぼみ / Naisho no Tsubomi (“Secret Budding”), seeks to offer a fuller explanation of puberty to children, and appears to be enjoying some success, now being on its fifth volume.
The manga deals with topics of importance to adolescents, especially girls, such as menarche, the growth of breasts (and the acquisition of a brassiere), new hair growth, as well as more social matters; all of these are illustrated in appropriate detail.
Naturally, not only children have been taking an interest in this title… Parents concerned to see their daughters well informed also take an interest. You can see more of it below:
