Sega’s newly announced “Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax” seems likely to raise the bar for anime-styled 2D fighting games (as well as generic franchise crossovers), with a full cast of top anime characters appearing as playable fighters – already including the likes of Shana, Wilelmina, Asuna and Leafa.
Gonzo’s anime movie adaptation of top witch ’em up Bayonetta has proven perhaps the only surprise left to the Tokyo Game Show, with the film by most accounts looking as enchantingly sadistic as the game proper.
