Shogakukan has posted a web comic titled “My Sweet Sunday” which is drawn by two highly acclaimed Shogakukan mangaka, Rumiko Takahashi and Mitsuru Adachi.
Posted on the Club Sunday section of Shogakukan’s Shonen Sunday website, this work is to celebrate the 50th annivesary of their long running magazine, Weekly Shounen Sunday.

With the long and glorious history of the manga serialisation having recently drawn to a close, Inuyasha fans may have been lamenting the demise of the long running series; this may have been premature, as now we have news of a new anime production, though only a short one.

Inuyasha is finally set to draw to a close after 11 years of serialisation, it has been announced in the latest instalment, with the next chapter, 558, bringing the story to an end. Creator 高橋留美 / Rumiko Takahashi is said to be planning a prompt start to a new work, to be announced soon, rather than taking the opportunity for a break. Apparently, there are also some concerns over what effect this will have on Shonen Sunday, as Inuyasha was a major title for them.
Hopefully, the series is ended in an appropriate fashion, although with 11 years and 53 volumes it seems unlikely that this was rushed. Via AnimeAnime.
