Gonzo to Lose Strike Witches?

2ch circulates an interesting rumour of uncertain provenance: evil publisher Kadokawa may drop Gonzo as the producer of the upcoming second season of Strike Witches, supposedly as they have no need of them.

Akikan Abandons Anime Completely

Perhaps tiring of being criticised for being entirely bereft of production quality, quality anime Akikan has opted to simply abandon the tedious business of animating characters and instead just film the seiyuu having a chat, replacing the normal episode with it. Gonzo Set to Fire 75% of Employees

Financially troubled anime studio Gonzo is set to undergo massive restructuring, sacking 100 of its 130 employees, rather than the smaller numbers announced earlier, with parent company GDH mandating a return to profitability within 5 years.
