The mangaka of “Peach de Lesson” here seems to have made some rather liberal use of a photographic reference, to put it politely, though it does not seemed to have helped too much.
Wow, you guys are all immense faggots. The 3D image is wonderful, and the 2D is just as wonderful. The 2D image fat? Please! You guys have shit taste in women, a buxom beauty is always preferable... More

Viewers of Valkyria Chronicles can’t help but notice certain curious similarities between the show’s heroine Alicia Melchiott and a certain Kana Minami, of Minami-ke… Mere coincidence?
I've been playing the game and watching the anime and have noticed that anime Alicia is a lot more erratic. It doesn't bother me all that much though. Interesting to have a source for some... More
Both voiced by Marina Inoue... More
China’s pioneering lead in flagrant copying is under threat from Russia: here you see a none too well concealed copy of Lucky Star’s Kagami, newly discovered, and no less than Haruhi herself, now a legend, both hoping to sell some sweets.
Below, you can see more of rather disturbing “moe” designs in use::
A recent comment by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao decrying the lack of Chinese anime has incited a flurry of online support, with Chinese net users vigorously denouncing Japanese anime.
You contradict yourself so many times. First it's China's the greatest country in the world then you change it to greatest Asian country because it's not the greatest country sorry but its not. Second you... More
Well... where did you watch it? The picture shows Ultraman TIGA from 1996, but the (horrible) US Dub was released in 2002.... More
Observers can’t help but notice a curious similarity between the promotional image for the new Evangelion movie and that of an adult game due April and by “FlyingShine”.
Gratuitous sample CG follow:
From the first episode of Gundam SEED. Probably about the most innocent motive we can ascribe is that dark colouring was avoided for aesthetic reasons.
They say art imitates life... So if people come to a point where they bash other people for "Simmonizing" photographs, then what's an artist to do? Imagination can't be the basis of everything.... More

Taiwanese anime fans have uncovered plagiarism of truly staggering proportions in the Chinese language MMORPG “女神ONLINE ~NORN SABER ONLINE~”, by “developer” Chinese Gamer International. It looks as though just about every single element of the game, from CG to sprites, and even TV commercials, is tainted with plagiarism.
Sadly, it seems the uniquely Chinese approach to copyright we have come to be familiar with is not restricted to the mainland…
In terms of the breadth and brazenness of its plagiarism, Norn Saber Online is undoubtedly in a class of its own:
Hey, Taiwan might consider having their own Anime Industry with that kind of art, not bad.... More
From what I've gathered, it's common for this kind of thing to occur; the plagiarism I mean. You see, so long as the "image" is different, you're somehow able to "bypass" copyright laws. Obviously as... More
The OP of defunct mecha anime ジンキ・エクステンド /Jinki Extend is compared to classic mecha anime 機動戦士ガンダム / Mobile Suit Gundam. You could be forgiven for noticing some similarities.
Whether by way of deliberate tribute, sheer lack of originality or otherwise, the similarities between the new Gundam 00 2nd Season OP and the OP for magical girl anime Precure (Pretty Cure) have not escaped the notice of the comparative engine that is 2ch. You can view the OPs below.
It’s not clear why such extreme (beyond coincidental we might think, though still perhaps not deliberate) similarity should exist.
In related news, the nudity of the participating characters did not escape 2ch’s attention either:
Still the OO girls own these pretty cure girls Gundam > Precure mechas beat girly sailormoons anytime!!... More
why can't someone said “similarities not plagiarism”?? i think you people exaggarating things here... More
Sharp eyed and artistically literate 2channers spotted this “tribute” in the illustrations to the fourth volume of the novel 人類は衰退しました / Man Has Decayed, by noted eroge scenario writer 田中 ロミオ / Romeo Tanaka.
The above image compares a scene from volume one of the To Love-Ru manga with an illustration aired recently on TBS late night enertainment program ランク王国 / Rank Kingdom; the illustration, or copy thereof, is apparently by Hiropyon (Hiroko Kamata), a minor tarento (presenter) working on the show.
