Anime Maker Seeks Arrest of Hyakko Critics

The maker of nondescript school anime Hyakko may very well be planning to pursue criminal slander charges against persistent online detractors who have been brazen enough to call the not universally well received anime “rubbish”.

Slander is a criminal as well as civil offence in Japan, with substantial prison terms possible.

We see the following exchange in a Hyakko thread:

Hyakko Gununu

A gununu illustration featuring the cast of occasionally maligned anime Hyakko. If you’re familiar with Hyakko, you’ll probably soon realise more effort than usual has gone in to preserving the unique traits of each character than we often see with gununu images, whilst still preserving the essential moe elements of the gununu meme…

If you don’t have a clue about gununu, then to the gallery with you.

Hyakko Game Rips Off Anime

Nondescript anime Hyakko has experienced a modicum of success, which means the inevitable knock off PS2 adventure game is due.

But this time, it is no ordinary knock off, for it seems their laziness in developing the game has reached unprecedented heights, even for typically wretched anime adventure games – as the above shots indicate, they have actually filched scenes from the anime rather than go to the trouble of reenvisaging them in CG.

Aya Hirano Added to Idol Master Tsunku’s Harem

Handsome producer つんく♂ / Tsunku looks to have added super-seiyuu Aya Hirano to his harem if their onstage antics are anything to go by; a jolly time looks to have been had in this promotional event for their upcoming collaboration, with Tsunku jolliest of all to have had Aya Hirano hanging off of him, by the looks of things.

The two are engaged in their first “collaboration”, if a singer’s relationship with a producer could be called that, for the ED tune to ヒャッコ / Hyakko, the upcoming anime adaptation of a digitally distributed manga of the same name.
