To Love-Ru‘s resurrection in the form of To Love-Ru Darkness (technically a “spin-off”) is more erotic than ever – the manga is packed with uncensored nipple action even in its first chapter.

The addition of nipples to the censored serialised edition of To Love-Ru has become something of an expected fixture of the manga, but the latest edition, volume 11, takes things further than any previous volume, with no less than ten characters given the anatomical upgrades they deserve; amusingly, even the tiniest panels get the addition of nipples.
Fans, and everyone else, are delighted. See a selection below.

Fans have been quick to voice their considerable discontent at the latest developments in the anime adaptation of To Love-Ru; animation quality is said to have taken a nosedive in the latest episode (21), but more shockingly, volume two of the DVD edition has reneged on the usual arrangement with fans of putting up with wretched television censorship in exchange for an ecchified DVD release: fans are outraged that nipples are barely visible, and that saucy underwear remains replaced by normal clothing, with only the sop of mysterious tentacle molestation liquid to mollify them…

After the revelations concerning just how little is left to the imagination in the manga edition of To Love-Ru, it should come as no surprise to you to hear that the latest chapter, 113, features not only the inevitable summer swimwear but even girls pictured in unladylike deportment, which you can see below.

To Love-Ru fans may leave their imagination at the door; it is no longer necessary. An enterprising ero-analyst has subjected To Love-Ru to close scrutiny, dissecting each panel and so bringing to light the fact that even in the serialised edition, the manga’s censorship is far less complete than previously thought; far more than mere nipples, airbrushed or no, is in fact plainly discernable…
Before you all rush off to seek out a copy, the sections concerned are reproduced for your inspection below:

Once again, it seems the latest compilation version of the To Love-ru manga, volume 10, has received the upgrades in ecchiness which are largely being denied the DVD edition, strangely enough. A number of mistakes and omissions seem also to have been dealt with.
Plenty of fans have seen fit to compare the magazine published version with the compilation edition, so the differences are readily apparent:

To Love-Ru recently had its first DVD release, which means some scrutiny is in order. However, this awkwardly titled anime does not seem inclined to walk the same path as that most determined of ero-anime Kanokon, at least at this stage. The comparison screens speak for themselves:

Just as the To Love-Ru manga compilation edition got an H upgrade from the serialised edition, so will the DVD edition of the anime get improved ecchiness. The DVD is due July 25th, so we should not have too long to wait until the inevitable side-by-side comparisons. Some (quite tame) screens at Famitsu.

One of the more innovative, and possibly unintended, uses of Yahoo.co.jp’s “Certification for Everyone” interfaces, a simple set of tools which allow users to create scored tests, is provided by ToLOVEる☆LOVE, namely a test to identify To Love-Ru characters by their pantsu, and their nipples (you will likely need to familiar with the manga compilation’s more liberal usage of nipples to gain the coveted rank of master here).
If you failed dismally, as did I, you will be heartened to know that the pass rate is a mere 36%, so your inadequate pants discrimination skill is not so shameful.

Looks like the inevitable stream of ToLOVEる/To Love-Ru games is getting started. The title is given as “To LOVEる – とらぶる – ワクワク! 林間学校編”, “To Love-Ru – Wakuwaku! Outdoor School Story”. It is to be an adventure game for the Nintendo DS with 3D stylus probing action reminiscent of a certain witch fondling game. Screens and source at Famitsu. No word on just how raunchy things will get; with To Love-Ru we seem to have quite a wide range of ecchiness, but being on a Nintendo system I would wager it will be on the tamer side.

Interesting comparison of the censorship of serialised versus compilations of ToLOVEる/To Love-Ru here – it seems quite heavy handed, but this is Shonen Jump so I suppose it is understandable. What of the TV versus DVD versions of the anime, I wonder? Personally, I think I prefer seinen manga, of either variety, where this sort of thing is not an issue.
