Woman Groped by Statue

Woman Groped by Statue

A lady has been assailed by a man of bronze in public, with her shameless attacker having the temerity to make light of the affair even whilst probing her intimately. For her part, the lady seems to be concealing her distress well.

We do not hear what transpired between the two after the photograph was taken…

Not the first time we have seen statues cause mischief.

Petrified Pantsu Peeper

Petrified Pantsu Peeper

In another example of the watched watcher, here we see a man daringly checking out what this statue’s blouse conceals. We might wonder, just what exactly is he hoping to find up there?

Japanese Art World Renowned

Japanese Art World Renowned

If this informative image is anything to go by, some of the most vibrant forms of contemporary Japanese art have finally been accepted into the progressively conservative world of “fine” art, and are naturally a crowd pleaser at exhibitions.

If a Gundam can fetch $600,000 in an international art auction, this seems to be an inevitable next step…

Anime Breast Failure

How To Draw Oppai/Breasts

On seeing this image, which gives a reasonable idea of how to draw breasts, and an excellent idea of how not to draw them (like mysteriously levitating grapefruit as so many erotic anime do), I was struck by how badly certain titles manage to fail at providing convincing breasts.

You can see below just how badly, and let us put things to a vote to be sure.

The Pantsu Witches get an interesting workover in this image, and it is a little surprising just how distinctive the are given how little detail exists.

We also saw the essential elements (the triangular parts) of the Strike Witches rendered into abstract shapes previously, but this one at least wins in terms of retro feel.

A Guide to Drawing Sukumizu

A Guide to Drawing Sukumizu

The above illustration of frolicking sukumizu clad schoolgirls appeared in Dengeki Moe-Oh some months ago as part of a how-to article on drawing sukumizu, surely an essential skill for aspiring illustrators.

The creator has recently published a sukumizu illustration guide on his site, focused on the finicky business of colouring and reproducing wetness, so should you be of an artistic bent, or simply curious, you might want to check it out. Stretching to three pages, it is quite detailed.

If you are interested in this, you may also be interested to view the video of master CG artist Ino creating one of his works.

Type Moon Rough Sketch Fetches $4500

Type Moon Rough Sketch Fetches $4500

Few would deny an original work by Type Moon’s top illustrator 武内崇 / Takashi Takeuchi, of Fate/stay night and Tsukihime fame, to be one capable of commanding a high price, and worth it, but a recent auction in which a single page from a sketchbook, featuring but one rather rough pencil illustration, certainly turned heads when the auction concluded at an impressive ¥456,000.

Shunga Gallery I

Shunga Gallery I

Coming upon much more 春画 / shunga, the Japansese erotic art of antiquity prone to make the contemporary stuff look tame, I though it time to make a few galleries of them, in addition to the earlier gallery. I should furnish you with a warning before you proceed – some of these images frankly put /d/ to shame in strangeness, and I reproduce uncritically as historical art illustrations which might otherwise be considered in less than exemplary taste.
