Princess Waltz English Release Due

Princess Waltz English Release Due

In one of the highest profile and most promising English language visual novel releases to date, fantasy combat eroge Princess Waltz is set for a November 2008 release.

As we’ve seen, unfortunately not all localisers of visual novels take their products or customers seriously, so you will be glad to hear that Princess Waltz is being handled optimally: translation is done by native speakers, Japanese voicing is fully intact with English text, and the game is freed of the curse of Japanese censorship laws – it will be entirely uncensored.

New Slayers Season Confirmed

New Slayers Season Confirmed

That there will be an additional season (13 episodes) of Slayers after the current has been officially confirmed, although it was basically planned this way (in 26 episodes) from the beginning. In fact, it might be more accurate to say they have decided not to cancel it.

Considering that Revolution wasn’t exactly a spectacular success, there may have been a slight chance of abandonment if the response was cool enough, but it seems to have picked up and be doing well enough. Via Moon Phase.

Guin Saga Anime Confirmed

Guin Saga Anime Confirmed

The colossal and highly successful グイン・サーガ / Guin Saga series of fantasy novels, by 栗本薫 / Kaoru Kurimoto, now standing at over 120 volumes, will be adapted into an anime airing in the spring of 2009. The announcement was made on the cover (obi) of the just released 122nd volume, though that there was activity in adapting it to anime has been discussed for a few years (three years ago, in fact).

This is sure to be an interesting project, and possibly the start of a major mixed media franchise, although as yet further details are lacking. Via Moonphase.
