Military vs magic anime Gate has delivered more gruesomely one-sided battles as the relentless JSDF tears through its inferior foes, with the ever radiant Rory starting to overshadow the mild military propaganda aspect of the show – though she may well fall victim to the writers if the rather dark manga version is any indication.
