The regular monthly character rankings poll results from the August issue of Newtype have come out, with the rankings for Female characters being especially interesting this month.
The new Evangelion and Haruhi releases have naturally propelled their leading ladies even higher than their already lofty usual spots, but the big surprise this month is K-ON!’s dojikko Yui Hirasawa taking over the bustier Mio‘s place as the highest ranked K-ON! character.

Fans have been surprised to note yet another remaster of Evangelion, with the newly airing HD TV version of Evangelion You Are (Not) Alone 1.** carrying a trailer differing both from the theatrical and DVD versions, with some saying it looks to be the definitive version.

Funimation has released the trailer for the English dubbed American edition of the first of the Rebuild of Evangelion movies, “You are (Not) Alone”, the second of which recently hit Japanese theaters.
Fans who have watched the original trailers cannot help but notice the stark contrast in style between the two, and many are not amused…

Readers in the vicinity of Akihabara would likely be interested in noting that over the next month the CURE maid café will be in its new Evangelion mode, to go along with the new release of the Evangelion : 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance movie.
This was the same café that recently held its Fate/stay Night event, and so this means a new menu of Eva-influenced dishes and drinks, along with the appropriate decorations to the interior.
