Bakemonagatari‘s fourth DVD/Blu-ray discs are proving popular amidst fans – not only have the notorious unfinished (and in fact, entirely missing) parts been completed, but also Shaft have seen fit to revise some of loli icon Nadeko‘s scenes, giving her more exposure and some rather ambiguous serpentine insertion action.

These are the sales rankings for anime DVDs as compiled by Oricon for the week of Feb. 6 2009. In addition, the much longed for availability of BD sales rankings is slowly arriving, albeit still lacking exact sales numbers and being reported with a significant delay.
It has been some time since we last covered sales rankings of this sort, but as the latest weekly rankings chart is quite similar to those of recent weeks, it does succinctly demonstrate what sort of releases are popular and being purchased on the streets of Japan currently.
The jacket for Strike Witches DVD Vol. 6, below, has just been revealed to thunderous acclaim from the Japanese otakusphere, showing 12-year old Lucchini greeting us with a wonderful mid-air pose, shimapan on prominent display and legs splayed far apart, as if to celebrate Strike Witches’ recent endorsement by the Japanese government as an example of cultural excellence.
