Here I shall introduce the art of えあう / Eau, an artist who has produced a number of these interesting illustrations, which as you can see use photos as a base. Whilst doing this and not disclosing it seems to be a recipe at times for derision or even scandal, doing it quite deliberately seems to be well received, and looking at these images, who could disagree.
Below you can see more of his art, and some of the source photos.

Fans have been quick to voice their considerable discontent at the latest developments in the anime adaptation of To Love-Ru; animation quality is said to have taken a nosedive in the latest episode (21), but more shockingly, volume two of the DVD edition has reneged on the usual arrangement with fans of putting up with wretched television censorship in exchange for an ecchified DVD release: fans are outraged that nipples are barely visible, and that saucy underwear remains replaced by normal clothing, with only the sop of mysterious tentacle molestation liquid to mollify them…

Miko in a breast comparison diagram – interesting (below). It would probably be asking for too much to have more sizes represented, but we can dream… The above image may a just be a placeholder to preserve the relative decency of the front page, but it too is rather interesting, giving the obscure names of the various parts of miko anatomy.

It may not be a common subject for illustration, but it is interesting when it arises. Here are some interesting images dealing with the transformation of 3D into 2D, generally exhibiting an improvement over the source material.

More of the at times improbably beautiful modern seiyuu; it is little wonder the number turning their hand to a spot of idolling has been increasing, or it is it instead the case that lately idolisable seiyuu are the ones landing the prominent roles?

In this gallery of most appealing young lady seiyuu, you are sure to find something of interest whilst furthering your knowledge of the profession at the same time. The question asked on the Vipper threads was whether seiyuu are lately getting cuter; perhaps only reference to the images can resolve this.

Once again, it seems the latest compilation version of the To Love-ru manga, volume 10, has received the upgrades in ecchiness which are largely being denied the DVD edition, strangely enough. A number of mistakes and omissions seem also to have been dealt with.
Plenty of fans have seen fit to compare the magazine published version with the compilation edition, so the differences are readily apparent:

You can forget about merely being able to knock the “armour” off of the characters in Soul Calibur IV; it appears in fact you can force them (even ones possessing such improbable pantomime figures as Ivy) into battle in their very underwear, or in at least one case, completely naked.

Strike Witches pantsu again. If you were thinking it was only the international editions of anime which get butchered by censors, think again. Lately, the various networks in Japan have been particularly keen to assert their sensibilities on the anime they carry, with the result that the more risqué anime can expect to have several different versions.

Six types of fundoshi modelled by delicious cake. Top right looks most interesting but least practical; middle and bottom right look to have the best balance of aesthetics and functionality. Unfortunately (?), traditional Japanese practice generally has ladies not wearing any underwear, with fundoshi especially being the province only of sweaty men.
I am still hoping to put together a fundoshi gallery, but it is rather difficult and will take some time… Open invitation is open.

Aerial pantsu (see below) anime Strike Witches has been attracting much attention with its “They’re not pantsu, so it’s not embarrassing” logic, and of course because of its strong adolescent girl pantsu motif; now it seems that the DVD edition is to get a strong selling point in the form of even more ecchiness, with the news that the creators will be including the bits they were “forced” to remove (removed because of the marketing possibilities seems at least as likely), specifically the pink bits attached to the chests of the female characters will now all be included.
