As expected, Comiket 76’s final Day 3 surpassed Day 1’s record-breaking number of attendees, bringing in over 200,000 pilgrims who braved the sweltering summer heat to come to the semiannual otaku Mecca for the event’s most ero-heavy day.
This means the reported figure for total C76 attendance over its three days is a whopping 560,000 (roughly 4.5% of the population of Tokyo, the world’s most populous metropolitan area), beating last year’s summer Comiket 74’s piddling 550,000.

Comiket 76 has concluded, and just as it has been the best attended Comiket ever, it also appears to have been the sexiest ever, with all manner of sexy or simply superbly executed cosplay on offer.

Comiket 76, this summer’s August event of the twice annual otaku mega-convention in Ariake has broken its already massive attendance records on its first day, with a reported figure of 180,000 attendees, on a blisteringly hot August 14, topping last year’s C74 by 10,000.

A preview DVD of the new season of Queen’s Blade on sale at C76 reveals the series looks set to become even more packed with yuri nipple tweaking, and is also set to receive some very tight leggings.
Some highlights are visible above. Aya Hirano’s character Nanael is set to receive her ero-fication it seems.
