The second day of Comiket 77 brought even more talented and sexy cosplayers out to brave the ravenous throng of otaku onlookers, with 2ch once again demonstrating that Photoshop is completely unnecessary in the face of such dedicated cosplay.

NiseMIDI Doro no Kai’s (the circle name of the well known artist Ishikei) main Comiket 76 offering, MikanAL, is likely among the more sought out and lusted after books to come from the event, featuring To Love-Ru’s youthful imouto Yuuki Mikan in Ishikei’s distinctive style.
Sankaku Complex’s own Quen has turned his expert hand to a translation of the short book as a send-off for the recently cancelled To Love-Ru series – hopefully bereaved fans can find at least a little solace amongst the pages of yet another Ishikei doujinshi.

As the figures are still readily available through shops such as Tora no Ana however, the opportunity to inspect what exactly it takes to be banned from the Comiket is too good to pass up…

Major otaku stores (Tora no Ana, Melonbooks, etc.) frequently display lists of their Top 10 bestselling doujinshi, but the most watched rankings are always the ones in the weeks following Comiket.
As Comiket 76 ended last week, there is the interesting opportunity to inspect these doujinshi rankings from three major Akihabara shops – Tora no Ana, Messe Sanoh and Melonbooks.
