Kannagi fan ire at the besmirchment of goddess Nagi-sama’s marketing push, by wantonly scattering the detritus of Clannad After Story DVD marketing all over it such that Nagi-sama is all but invisible, as you see below, has resulted in the image above: a scathing rebuke to Clannad fans in the form of a parody of Key/Clannad character designer Itaru Hinoue’s peculiar facial style.

In something of a change, this nude filter not only features Kyou Fujibayashi and Kotomi Ichinose of Clannad doing a spot of friendly comparison, but also features a doujin work rather than the usual target of official art.

The fact that the video easily runs to 45 minutes is probably good evidence of dramatic credentials in itself, though whether they are carried off well is a matter I leave to your judgement…

Kyoto Animation have earned the praise even of critical 2channers, for we hear that their rendition of a key scene (or at least one fans are particular about), above, is completely faithful to, and even improves upon, the CG original from the visual novel, which you can see underneath it.

For the briefest of of glimpses it seems an interesting Clannad cameo has been worked into tsundere anime Toradora, with the bakery you see above bearing none other than the name of 古河パン / Furukawa Pan, the very bakery managed by Clannad mainstay Nagisa Furukawa’s father.
Subtle stuff…

Clannad After Story fans have been quick to pick up on the almost excessively Mei-centric third episode, which has delighted fans of the character whilst estranging those whose tastes lie elsewhere, although we might wonder at the relative proportions of each set.
You can see more Mei moe below:
