In another memorable Akihabara itasha sighting, photos of a Porsche given the ita treatment have surfaced, with the subject being Lucky Star’s famous tsundere, Kagami Hiiragi.
Owners of itasha tend towards more expensive and sporty cars for use, much as a painter would prefer to use a high quality canvas for his artwork, but going as far as using a Porsche is certainly beyond the norm…

This weekend’s Tokyo Auto Salon had on display not only ludicrously expensive sports cars, but also an assortment of beautiful itasha, including an official Chaos;Head car, and the previously covered Hatsune Miku Super GT racer.
As one blogger put it, “This is the age where itasha can be put on display even at the Tokyo Auto Salon.”

A young man (18) who stole an old lady’s car at knifepoint has offered his pressing need to attend Comiket as his reason for the crime. He needed to travel some 250km to Tokyo to get there.

This rather eccentrically decorated itasha of Rei Ayanami is not among the most artistic or stylish itasha yet seen, but the feverish enthusiasm that undoubtedly went into its creation certainly makes it worthy of attention, if not outright praise.

We heard about the racing debut of a Hatsune Miku pro-itasha recently; now the news is followed up by the debut of another Vocaloid racer, which as you can see is a Kagamine Rin/Ren themed Fairlady.
Both cars are racing in the GT300 round 9 race at the Fuji Speedway, set to commence in mere hours.

This looks to be one of the most stylishly realised itasha thus far seen, at least equalling the famed Hatsune Miku racer (which is now ignominiously reduced to seeking sponsorship by selling Miku goods), though still quite far behind the Macross ero-van.

“I was confident after playing driving games at the arcade, so I wanted to try the real thing” – such is the legend offered by a schoolgirl (14), who, without any form of licence or training save what she had learnt at her local arcade, opted to try her hand at the real thing.
However, her first drive ended with her arrest for perpetrating a hit and run, and one man being dragged from her car hundreds of metres, suffering severe injuries as a result.
