Anime Industry Shoots Bones in Back

Elric Brothers - Full Metal Alchemist, a Bones produced anime

All the indications are that the leaked Bones animator list was at some point a company document after all: anime industry group “The Association of Japanese Animations”, as well as several other industry groups, have issued statements deploring the uploading of a file containing the personal details of animators and vowing to tighten handling of this sort of data to ensure no repeat.

Every company in the industry must make more strident efforts to administer employee information, they say, in what sounds like a slight to the errant Bones.

Alphonse Elric of Full Metal Alchemist, the anime of which is a Bones production

A document purporting to be the internal performance review of animators working at notable studio Bones (FMA, Scrapped Princess, RahXephon) has surfaced, and the callow, if not vicious, statements in it are sure spell a PR calamity should there prove to be so much as a grain of truth to them, and that is without taking into account the egregious leak of the personal information of hundreds of animators, as their full names, addresses, work details, etc, are also present. On to the excerpts.
