The news that the “Haruhi TV Anime” was set to air in April, thought by all to be either the long awaited second series or an almost unbelievably perverse marketing stunt, in fact does turn out to be a carefully worded piece of deception: it refers only to a rerun of the previously aired first season of Haruhi
Fans are predictably outraged, though it remains to be seen whether they will finally abandon the series, or will merely grumble and obediently commence purchasing should a new series actually emerge.

According to the latest commercial for anime rag Newtype, which had previously announced its announcement, the new TV series of the Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi will begin airing in April.
Fans are in shock, and are understandably having trouble accepting this news, but it seems genuine enough.

The bizarre saga surrounding Aya Hirano’s upside down bikini fashion statement, or Aya Style as it has come to be known, will not easily be laid to rest; now we hear of yet another twist, in the form of this cap showing Haruhi (voiced by Aya Hirano prior to her becoming a bikini idol) cameoing in episode 20 of Lucky Star (where Konata also happens to be voiced by same).
Agreeably close examination reveals that the bikini Haruhi here sports bears no small resemblance to that characteristic of Aya Hirano’s elevated fashion sense (or excessive obedience).

Obsessed Malaysian otaku have launched a hunt of epic proportions for bikini idol Aya Hirano after it emerged she was in the country briefly for filming; their hysteria has in a day spanned 20 pages and encompassed efforts to check hotels, to analyse her photos and even to track her down using Google Earth, after she unwisely posted pictures from her hotel on her blog.
Their manic efforts have taken on a bizarre sense of farce, as it has emerged that throughout their frantic search Aya Hirano had in fact already returned to Japan, with the result that their hunt was focused on prey already far out of reach.
