The Tokyo International Anime Fair, scheduled to take place the end of March at the Tokyo Big Sight, has announced the winners of their TAF 2010 Anime Awards.

Animation Kobe, an event created by the Kobe city for the promotion of animation (moderately Engrish introduction site here) has identified the winners of its 14th Annual Animation Kobe awards on its website.
Among the award winners are such anime as Eden of the East, Haruhi-chan and K-ON!, winning the TV, Network and Theme Song categories respectively.

The Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs has awarded loli pantsu anime Strike Witches a ringing endorsement, in the form of an official recommendation.
The government run Media Art Festival exhibited the title alongside various other excellent anime in the venue’s mini-theatre, and families could be seen taking their children to watch this fine example of Japanese cultural excellence:

Shogakukan, the mega-publishing house behind many famous manga magazines such as Shounen Sunday (and incidentally also an owner of North American anime/manga company Viz Media), announced the results for their 54th Annual Manga Awards earlier this week.
The winners of this year’s awards are all likely unknown to most international fans, but in past years the Shogakukan awards have been bestowed to popular series such as Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, Inu-Yasha and Detective Conan.
