The Idol Master girls replace the cast of Persona 4 in this recreation of the signature tune “Pursuing My True Self”, certainly a MAD of impressive quality.
The music is great as usual with Shin Megami Tensei, and they are rendered rather convincingly into the distinctive style of the Persona series, complete with retro glasses, along with all the interface touches the series uses to great effect.

Persona 4 is out, and there are plenty of videos of the game in action. This is probably the pinnacle of PS2 gaming, and it shows, though it is still regrettable they opted to neglect the PS3 (as you can tell, I don’t seem to be able to get over this); could they not have at least produced an enhanced version?
Incidentally, the US version is due December 9th, but without Rie Kugimiya & co. why would you want such a thing?
Anyway, without further adieu, here is a selection of videos surely ample enough to satisfy any curiosity you might harbour:

Atlus seems set on drumming up interest in almost released Persona 4 by the most prurient of methods – a onsen peeping game involving spying on the young ladies of the protagonist’s group bathing.

Persona fans, amongst whose numbers I can happily count myself, can rejoice at the sight of the latest, and most splendid, figure incarnation of 桐条美鶴 / Mitsuru Kirijo; see more detail below (just pretend the overendowed and overexposed figure in the background isn’t there). An address was given by Megami Tensei/Persona series creator 岡田耕始/Koji “Cozy” Okada at the University of Tokyo recently, as part of the May Festival, in which he was kind enough to expound in some detail about his thoughts about the excellent Megami Tensei series as creator.
Famitsu has published a very interesting and quite detailed article covering this, and I have prepared a full translation below; this should be of particular interest to Megami Tensei and Persona fans, as well as those interested in the creative processes leading to a prolific franchise which is not only extremely successful, but also highly adventurous and original.

Famitsu brings news of the story and characters of Persona 4, as well as more screenshots, due for release in a month or two, almost inexplicably for the PS2. The story centres around a string of murders at the protagonist’s school/countryside town, and the character featured is a ruffian; does this sound familiar to you?
The screens and details thus far revealed really do tend to mark this out as a rehash or expansion pack rather than a true sequel, although at least the production values will not be a let down, and the new setting looks to be a departure from the urban environments used previously. It looks interesting enough, but I am still a little disappointed that they chose the PS2 as platform, as it would be nice to see them push the series forward with a next generation game, rather than simply ride the coattails of the anime.
