Gamespot’s recent review of the English release of top moeblob RPG Atelier Meruru has proven controversial for spending an inordinate amount of time bashing the title for its “sexualised outfits on very young female protagonists,” whilst insinuating that anyone who plays it probably has an unhealthy interest in little girls.

Far from lamenting the loss of Kishida Mel‘s famously cute character designs, Atelier fans are hailing Hidari‘s designs for the newly announced Atelier Ayesha as being on an entirely new level of beauty and cuteness, to say nothing of the superb graphics now unveiled.

Gust has unveiled the latest title in its Atelier series of alchemy (and latterly, moeblob) RPGs, “Atelier Ayesha- The Alchemist of the Land of Dusk” (English title not yet confirmed) for the PS3 – along with the unexpected revelation that is is dumping Kishida Mel as illustrator along with all the 2D event scenes, prompting something of a stir online.
Update: The official title has since been confirmed as “Atelier Ayesha.”

Budding fans of the Vita’s upcoming real-time fairy dating game Ciel nosurge have been aghast to learn that the game is episodic and will take over a year to finish and cost 2-3 times the price of a normal title.
