Storyboards from the Evangelion 2.0 movie show a scene in which Asuka was apparently hideously mutilated, having her face peeled off and pierced by “hell’s needles” – thankfully for Asuka fans, the scene was cut in its entirety.
After Yamato’s Rei Ayanami figure rendition, it is now the turn of Asuka Langley to get one. Also based off Shunya Yamashita’s artwork, the figure will be released in November 2010.
