Some may be rather put-off by the live action music video that was recently released in celebration of classic kiddie anime Crayon Shin-chan‘s 25th anniversary, as many believe that the anime’s quirky charms do not translate well to the real world – though the remix of one of the show’s ancient opening songs may at least entertain.

TV Asahi “Taking The BWH of Random Beach Babes!”




Television network TV Asahi has secured the attention of the masses with another of its surreptitiously sexy programs, this time involving measuring the BWH of random girls at the beach, while not being so remiss as to forget a few close-up shots of the girl’s chests and posteriors.

Doraemon’s US Disney Debut Unveiled


Hugely popular kiddy anime Doraemon will finally receive its US TV debut this summer, by way of no less than Disney themselves – an announcement that has left many to wonder as to what took so long, considering the anime had aired in 35 other countries outside of Japan since Doraemon’s conception 45 years ago, long enjoying no small popularity in the rest of Asia in particular.

“Lie Buster” Busted for Lying


A TV programme purporting to bust lies has itself been busted for lying.

The show, ウソバスター / Uso Buster (Lie Buster), purported to concern itself such searching questions as “If you massage a Satsuma, will it sweeten?”, along with uncovering the wicked half-truths and outright fallacies spread on the Internet, which as any TV viewer will know is far less reliable than the unerring wisdom of the mass media.

It seems all that hanging around in Akihabara looking for a breakdown in law and order has given the folks at Asahi TV an idea or two. Today on ナニコレ珍百景, loosely “What the hell is this, 100 views of the bizarre”, they aired a feature entitled “美少女の車軍団”, “Bishojo Car Corps”, covering the variety of itasha around – I couldn’t help but be reminded of Danny Choo’s article.
