Schoolgirl Gamer Drags Cyclist 200m from Car in Terror Drive

“I was confident after playing driving games at the arcade, so I wanted to try the real thing” – such is the legend offered by a schoolgirl (14), who, without any form of licence or training save what she had learnt at her local arcade, opted to try her hand at the real thing.

However, her first drive ended with her arrest for perpetrating a hit and run, and one man being dragged from her car hundreds of metres, suffering severe injuries as a result.

Wonder Festival Cancelled

Tokyo Big Sight Eva Girls

Event goers will be unhappy to note that the next Wonder Festival, one of the top anime hobby events, has had its next opening cancelled completely. This means there will be no Wonder Festival 2009 Winter at all, though it is thought that future events will go ahead normally.

    Meh, lots of people survive crazy head injuries. It's all about where you hit, and how hard. Arrows pack a lot less punch than bullets and are rather thin indeed, so I'd imagine surviving a shot... More

A young lady (19), just learning to drive, drove through Matsue City at breakneck speeds, soon crashing her ride into a streetlight at high speed in truly spectacular fashion, tearing the SUV in half and killing the three back seat passengers who unwisely let her take them for a spin, we hear. She was only lightly injured, as was the fortunate young man sat beside her.

Disaster Festival – Broken Bones at Wonder Festival

Ten people have been injured in an escalator accident at Wonder Festival, at least one apparently severely injured with a broken leg; the escalator is said to have been overloaded, although staff were present.

Some 50 people on the errant machine were knocked down, and looking at the heights they could have fallen from, it is fortuitous that no fatalities ensued.
