The sordid details of the case of an otaku, Takanori Hoshijima, who obsessed over the prospect of creating a sex slave, and then attempted to carry out this deranged plan by kidnapping and violating a lady into submission, instead botching it and murdering and dismembering her, made much of his otaku proclivities.
He was said to play eroge constantly and even to have published his own doujinshi, under the title of “Masa ni Gaidou” – “Truly Depraved”.
The cover to the doujinshi, a volume focusing on the violation and bondage of an OS-tan, is visible above, as it is still listed (but out of stock) in certain online retailers. The author is listed as 寝ろ / Nero (Sleep!).

2ch founder and male idol Hiroyuki is no fan of anime otaku it seems, and wasted no time in insulting them in recent comments made on NicoNico Douga (of which he is the boss), calling them “gross”, “annoying” and “unable to communicate properly”.
His comments were made in response to continuing demands that he allow anime threads on the “New Housoku” board, which he dismissed out of hand in a forthright manner:

A TV programme purporting to bust lies has itself been busted for lying.
The show, ウソバスター / Uso Buster (Lie Buster), purported to concern itself such searching questions as “If you massage a Satsuma, will it sweeten?”, along with uncovering the wicked half-truths and outright fallacies spread on the Internet, which as any TV viewer will know is far less reliable than the unerring wisdom of the mass media.

Sony’s latest portable is the “Pocket Style” Vaio Type P, which you can see rather optimistically illustrated above almost fitting into a pocket, in what Sony probably hopes is the latest fashion trend.
Their slogan is “The PC you can’t keep your hands off”; wags immediately added “(because it’ll fall out)”.

The maker of nondescript school anime Hyakko may very well be planning to pursue criminal slander charges against persistent online detractors who have been brazen enough to call the not universally well received anime “rubbish”.
Slander is a criminal as well as civil offence in Japan, with substantial prison terms possible.
