This is limited production, according to number of orders only for this period, so I don’t think we have to worry about pre-orders drying up. Don’t think other retailers will be offering the Miku Nendo since pre-orders are already open to domestic customers and GSC would like part of the proceeds go to the Relief Fund.
Is it hard to order from GSC directly?
I can’t find an english version of the online shop.
Btw J-list seems to be offering it already, even though GSC said overseas sales will open on the 8th of April. But the price there seems ridiculous.
This is the first time GSC is doing shipping direct from them to INTERNATIONAL customers, with details on shipping arrangements to be revealed as we get closer to 8th April, so I’m as lost as you are since no one has ordered from them OUTSIDE of japan before.
Not sure if J-List is going to receive the shipment domestically, then ship them out later OR taking pre-orders for the INTERNATIONAL shipping option OR both.
My opinion: Wait for the next couple of days as GSC is sure to reveal shipping methods for international customers before the pre-order starts. You can calculate for yourself the exact cost and choose how you want it: direct or proxy/retailers (J-list).
Also, I don’t see why J-list is even involved since this is handled directly by GSC themselves. J-list might be pocketing something in return but my words are empty since I’m not aware of any agreement between them and GSC or if there’s even one.
No other online retailer in japan is offering to sell it, as figure news sites in jpn jus refer to GSC’s online shop (news site are for domestic market). So again, this is really a first time for us all.
I’d rather order 3 direct and give the money to GSC than j-list (cuz i’m in asia so shipping is relatively cheap) since i would like to donate again to the earthquake relief fund.
I’m going to wait then.
