Here’s another cool one from Kore wa Zombie desu ka. It’s not meant to be an avatar or anyting. I just thought this scene was awesome and decided to make an animated gif of it.
    http://i.imgur.com/iiOFo.gif
I used imgur for this one because photobucket automatically resized it when I uploaded it there. I also made a large version that’s 475×360, but at nearly 5mb, it’s too big to upload.

    • Ah yes, Yuu commanding her to die repeatedly, that was pretty priceless XD

Yes, that scene was great. I especially like how the tree also dies when she speaks.

    • Can you send the large version via email ? :3

Btw how do you people make gifs ?Or should I ask with which program ?!

I can send it to you. PM me your email address.
As for making them, I use GIMP. It’s really easy.
        1. Take screenshots of each frame with your video player.
        2. In GIMP, go to ”File>Open as layers,” select the images, and open them. Each layer will be a frame in the animation.
        3. Resize, crop, etc. the canvas and layers to your liking.
        4. Save as a .gif file. You’ll be given the option to ”Flatten the layers” or someting, or to save it as an animation. Obviously check ”Save as animation.”
        5. Another window then pops up where you can set the length of each frame in ms. You can also set the length of any individual frame by editing that layer’s attributes and adding ”(1000ms)”, as an example, to the end of the name.
        6. Click OK and it will save the animated gif.

        • How easy is it with GIMP to tell it to save, say, under 200k? How do you work with compressing them with it?

Also, if you have a GIF where a couple frames are too much to the side to be seen after cropped, is it easy to move them in place?

I use ImageReady here, and, honestly, the only thing that would make me want to switch is if there’s an easier way to compress GIFs out there, as it’s what I have the most trouble with.

I don’t see an option to specify the file size. If there is one, I’m not sure where to look. I’m not very experienced with the program yet.

As for moving frames, I don’t think it would be difficult. I think it would simply be a matter of selecting the layer and dragging it to where ever you like. You would also have to hide all layers that are above it so you can see that frame. Doing that is also very simple – there’s a button next to each layer on the layers window that you can click to hide it or make it visible.
