It has the appearance of nothing but fan service, but the characters are surprisingly deep. Plethora of comic relief, and the main character is the same as Kira Yamato, the hero from Gundam Seed (though the character archetype is completely opposite).

Rain amidst the cherry blossoms falling like tears in Japan.

I saw cherry blossoms by the river today. They reminded me of the people I have loved and wronged. I felt sorrow, but also hope.

Please see the cherry blossoms if you ever visit Japan. They are a wonder to behold in spring.
