I imagine that police weapons are exempt because law enforcement doesn’t want to keep track of who or what the police are shooting, only who or what everybody else are shooting.

Reading everyone’s posts just seems to reinforce my personal belief that the true purpose of gun control laws is:
1. to trick/scare law-abiding people into never getting or giving up their guns.
2. to reduce the variety and usefulness of guns that still may be legally owned.
