If you want to read manga (albeit pretty old and more business-oriented manga) while learning Japanese, download Mangajin. 50+ issues of awesome Japanese-teaching manga goodness with interesting articles thrown in to boot.

I like Tae Kim’s approach when learning Japanese: It personally makes more sense to me. The only downside is that it doesn’t go through a lot of Kanji rigorously; you’ll have to study those through a different source.
