Most Kanji were basically copied from China. Japanese are really good at copying stuff in a way that makes it originally Japanese. Anime is one of those things.

You should just do the fandom a favor and stop watching anime.

I instead look for stuff with more plot. It’s possible to catch up with one piece in like two weekends.

The problem isn’t that it’s long. The problem is that it’s unnecessarily long. There isn’t enough plot to justify the length.
