    I downloaded a program called JWPce.
    It helped me to write in japanese when my computer couldn’t. (It could show, but not write). Now with Vista and Windows 7 thats not a problem.
    It includes a dictionary.
    Also, if you want to write a kanji, but don’t know its spelling, there’s an option to find kanjis by strokes.
    With this, if you find a kanji somewhere, but you don’t know what it means or how pronounce it, you just find it, then use the dictionary and you’ll know how is written in hiragana and what combinations have with others kanjis.
