well i just only used minna no nihongo and for me its great!!
I use genki. It works pretty well for me. I’ve heard some other people recommend it too. Take a look at both of them and see which pacing/style you prefer.
Well, the Minna no Nihongo has some djvu files I can’t open for the moment, so I’ll have to start with Genki. Thanks for the inputs to the both of you. :]
When I took 101 we used Genki. It’s a decent book but the pace is way too slow. It’s up to you which book your more comfortable using. I know people who love Genki and hate MnN and vice-versa. My personal opinion is that MnN is a better book to start with if you’re comfortable with it.
