As Faglhe said the purpose of this group is to ask questions, share links, etc. As a starter for anyone brand new to the language I highly recommend Tae Kim’s ”Complete Guide to Learning Japanese” (http://www.guidetojapanese.org/learn/complete) to get you started on your way.-
i have quite a bunch of e-books, the みんなの日本語 I and II with the exercise and kanji books in pdf format, if its ok with everyone i can upload them and post the links in a few hours

win 7 English Version, i had tried changing the keyboard but only manage to write in katakana

Control Panel>Region and Language>Keyboards and Languages Tab>Change Keyboards Button and add Japanese I believe. You should also make the Language bar visible so you can change it easily. Click apply and done~!

Make sure you add the Japanese IME. Not the Japanese keyboard.
