Idea Factory’s Twitter account has alerted fans of Death End Re;Quest 2 on the subject of the game’s Glitch costumes, asking if they would most want to see the original costumes for the Steam version of the game or the ones that were censored on PS4 (a decision that might be glaringly obvious to some).
Idea Factory noted that they are aware of the feedback they were given in regards to the Glitch costumes for the PS4 version of Death End Re;Quest 2 and now want opinions on which fans would like to see for the Steam iteration:
For those not familiar, the PS4 version of Death End Re;Quest 2 censored the Glitch costumes as part of Sony’s detestable initiative of eradicating sex appeal from the gaming industry (original outfits from the first game on top, outfits in Death End Re;Quest 2 on the bottom):

Hello Death end re;Quest™ fans!
We’ve seen the community’s feedback on the new Glitch Costumes for the first game’s characters in Death end re;Quest 2 on PS4. We want you all to know that we are listening and that we have been given the opportunity to implement the original Death end re;Quest costumes into the Steam® version of the game.
However, we can only include the original designs or the new designs. The development cost and time to include both costume versions would not be feasible.
If the original Glitch costumes are implemented, they will appear in:
– battle
– in-game menusThey will not appear in:
– event CGs
– movie cinematics*Please note that there may be other areas that discrepancies may occur in the final version of the game.
With that being said, we would like to hold a survey to see which Glitch Costumes the community would like to see in the Steam version of Death end re;Quest 2. The results of this survey will determine which costumes will appear in the Steam version of the game.

I feel like this also helps them cover their butts when the certain overly vocal group who wouldn’t actually purchase the game in the first place comes to complain. They can point to the fact that they surveyed the population and thus the game reflects the actual interest. One can only hope that the certain overly vocal group doesn’t find a way to skew the poll, although that would require actual work beyond writing a few complaints on Twitter and hitting like/retweet on each others’ posts.
Yeah, I agree with this approach, though it’s sad a company needs to ask if it’s fine if they can release an uncensored version of their product to begin with.

They know they can’t release the uncensored version, no matter if their customers want it, without this “overly vocal group” accusing them of distributing child porn. A poll or such won’t help them there, as the feminazi, white knights and similar don’t rely on reason.
What they will do is rig the poll and claim fans actually wanted the censored version, so that’s what they’ll release. They will even act as if surprised by the results and claim they are putting the interest of fans first by censoring. The fans will blame trolls for rigging the poll, but no flare directed at IF. The feminazi will target someone else who didn’t get the Soyny Seal of Cuckery. Best outcome for IF!

That doesn’t work, unfortunately. The strategy of the retards is to target the distributor, i.e. those actually selling your product to customers. They would spam Steam with complains about “child porn” and Steam will simply choose to remove the game rather than put on a fight (easier and cheaper).
There are other platforms you say? None as big, and those can also be targeted with the same strategy. Sell directly to customers? Sure, your hardcore fans may buy, but that’s not enough to cover your costs and make a profit (so, no more games).
