Already have started one in a sense.
Each Discordian sect is so different and independent of the others that they might as well be separate religions.

Imagine four erections on the edge of a cliff. Say a direct copy of the erection nearest the cliff is sent to the back of the line of erections and takes the place of the first erection. The formerly first erection becomes the second, the second becomes the third, and the fourth falls off the cliff.
Priapus works the same way.

I'd never actually start a religion, but, if I was asked to, this is what ya'd get.
First off there would be a male and female priest not just one or the other. Equality right from the start.
Second it would be open to humans. Any humans. Sexual orientation isn't relevant.
Third, it would be a religion of the real world. Everything would pertain to real people, for real people and have nothing to do with myths and fairy tales.
It would be permitted to be married as clergy. In fact, it would be required for everyone to have lost their virginity by their 21st birthday. Those having trouble finding some assistance on this, would be seen to by the relevant gender of clergy.
The golden rule would be 'always be excellent to each other always'. Kinda hard to fuck that up.
The second rule would be 'thou shalt not worship other's written ideas'.
We'd believe it is best to believe based on what you actually know, not what yer book tells ya to know. We'd just have no books. Also cuts down on costs eh.I'd make Sunday our day of days simply because everyone is already wanting it off any way. No point in making life difficult.
