   As much as I would like to be open minded. There are some things that should not be allowed to be turned Anime. I suffered through Spiderman being turned into a Sentai robot hero (albeit not anime). Then my personal favorite heroine the Witchblade who instead of Sara, it's some Miko. Then Spawn had to suffer as well in a manga, thank god, and now Iron Man.

   Is Marvel really hurting for money they allow a good icon to get a dramatic change? I'd rather Toni Stark dress as Man Faye than have such a ridiculous storyline.

   Yeeeeaaaaah welcome to what otaku go through or at least did on a regular basis name changes story changes and so on just to make it region friendly.

   Now onto some other shit.

   You do realize that if there is 1 genre japan is better at than the rest of the world it is ANYTHING to do with powersuits and mechs. My only beef is they changed the artstyle. I mean really if you're griping about them getting our stuff then try watching some of the shit we got in the late 90s from them buthered. When fox showed escaflowne it was ripped a new one when we got pokemon it was give a nice present of the R.Y.N.O. 5. It's nothing new and it may be good quite possible better than the movies. Deal with it. Hell even my comic book fan friend doesn't mind this.

   I seen the cartoon from the 90s, even the computer animated ones that were recent. I'd lean to the 90's cartoon than this. And yes, I do now come to the realization of how otaku's feel when we murdered Dragonball.. Street Fighter.. Tekken.. and yeah, Karma is a bitch, but God.

   I have to agree Japan does rule with Mecha anime, hands down that genre is theirs.

   And about Escaflowne? The manga was WAY better than the anime. And lets not touch how butchered voice dubbing were in many anime save for Golden Boy, maybe Tenchi Muyo.

   I will try to sit through a few more eps being open minded, but if it gets any worse i'll stick my head in the recycling bin and press empty.

   (edit) For now I'll meditate in sleep-mode on this and gripe again later

   I like the anime of Escaflowne. Haven't read the manga though.

   In the case of Ironman, I don't care much about it since it is not on my must watch list anyways. Like previous poster said the ironman anime can't be worse than the ironman cartoon.

    Whatever, I was planning on skipping the plot and go straight to the fights anyway... THOSE looked really nice on the promo they showed a few months back and I am really hyped in this respect.

    The plot in itself is insignificant, even back in the day when I used to read comics Stark was always the biggest pussy of the bunch, couldn't care less for his personal dilemmas or his ridiculous villains. As far as I am concerned, from all good things Mr. Lee (I am assuming he is also the creator here, feel free to correct me if I am wrong) created, IronMan is certainly the most boring one... who would've thought it would take an anime version for me to get slightest hyped for IronMan ;p

    ...and ofc, this is all imo, but if you feel trolled by it feel free to unleash your rage anyway, I will be sure to come back to feed you properly.

    Good thing, I just bought the DVD Box set of Escaflowne.I just finished watching the first episode of Ironman. I never thought Tony would get bitch slap by a woman maybe by She Hulk but a news reporter that surprise me.

    I would rather watch old Ironman 1995 series because the Mandarin was the main villain of that whole series he made it Interesting.For some reason this anime been giving hints about allying with the USA.

    He is pretty badass on the "Civil War" saga, and I also liked the movie, fairly funny, even though it lacked a decent villain too.
