Just watched the first episode. It was alright. Gonna watch a couple more episodes before I past judgment.

Initially I don't like the art style or the over-the-top-ness of it, but since it's Gainax I can interpret it as a deconstruction of the American cartoon style.
I did like the animation and music in the transformation scene. Also the live action segment when the bad guy blows up.

Transformation scene was interesting.. but as transformation scenes tend to get recycled with the same sequence for every episode and it's the only good thing about this 'anime'..
Dropping it after ep1.I noticed I was checking the progress slider very often to see if it was halfway yet.. a sign that really shouldn't have been watching it for that long in the first place.

Guess I shouldn't bother with this since I apparently have already seen all this show has to deliver (the transformation scene).
Hopefully it proves me wrong, the art doesn't bother me at all. Maybe in a couple weeks if I read some good things about it.

It went from cool, to awesome when Panty and Stocking became Hot Rod and Galvatron respectively. And they made so many little references to the original movie, like Panty flying through the air while shooting the Stockingcon. Jizz worthy indeed.
