What is your preffered weapon type in games

I once used 200 spinning Hina cats via a cheat to massacre everyone including Gary Colman at the mall in Postal.

Apparently he keeps respawning until he randomly falls over in his house. At which point his wife enters your house to take a screenshot of him to sell to the papers.

  2. Well anything that causes the most chaos and unfairness... if used properly of course...

  3. Ranged mostly and usually of the magical variety. Though crossbows are always fun. Regular long bows I can take or leave though.

For pussies? Maybe. But all those years perfecting said art form would be a waste if that person when up against an experienced gun user. I'd imagine it would look something like this.

Of course. It obscures your vision when you need to fire more than one shot.

You're a man after my own heart. I love the rush of melee combat, testing your skill against another's blade. And there is NOTHING like cutting down an archer, Bwahahaha! (Sorry, good memories...)

I'm a big fan of spears myself. I started fencing in middle school and coached in high school. That naturally evolved into a love of thrusting weapons. One of the best things about a spear is that it is built for both melee and projectile use. Do you know how pleasurable it is to sink your spear into a gut or make a lovely head shot with a spear?

I result to duel-wielding with short swords after throwing my spear. I love a good charge. Aww... melee, how I love you so.

This is no melee, mister. Unless you're on the square adjacent to your target.

Oh, you people and your D&Dish rules. I threw a spear at my opponent, drew two swords and sliced him into fine ribbons. Call it skirmishing or whatever you want, BUT IT WAS DAMN FUN.

Unfortunately, such thing only happens in anime and movies. Modern guns don't show much smoke no more.

Smokeless gunpowder has been standard fuel for cartridges for a few decades now. Smoke seeping out of the nozzle after a shot may look cool and shit, but it's impractical because like you said, it obscures vision. It also means that you might end up giving away your position if you are, say, a sniper who needs to remain concealed at all times.

Now everyone is rather catching up on muzzle flash. You don't want to look like a lighthouse if you're gunning someone from a distance with the intention of not being found. As such, flash suppressors have been developed, and they're still perfecting gunpowders that doesn't produce light when combusted.

And, more than ANYTHING, you don't wanna be heard shooting your grandma if she doesn't wanna give you cash to buy that crack. Unfortunately, even the most silent suppressor can still sound like someone slapping something SO HARD...

However, even with all these flaws, a gun is still better than a sword. If I'm in a dead or alive situation, I'll use anything I can find, but if I can get away with it, I'd rather punch that guy's lights out if I run out of ammo(or use the stock to hit him).

I suppose the only use that smoke had was for cowboys to make an impression on the ladies by blowing it away from their hotly used revolvers after a shootout.
