  1. I'd be a much worse artist. I started learning anatomy because I wanted to be able to draw anime, and without it, I'd likely still be a dumb kid that thinks I don't need to learn realism if I'm making cartoons.

  2. I don't really consider myself otaku, but if that would be the case then I would go to party, get wasted and sleep with all the drunken chicks I might find about. After that I would go to the doctor...

  3. I might actually be a productive member of society who can support himself and mebe even have social and love lives

*although Otaku might be a bit strong of a word for whatever I am, I think mebe just "dorky" or "weird" would be better

  4. I am one example of the otaku 99% taken out of me. Notice any changes?

  7. I CANNOT COMPREHEND. Anime and manga is life itself.

  8. I'd probably be into old science fiction shows, cheesy cult films, classic rock, photography, and vintage clothing.

    ...That doesn't sound half-bad, actually.

  9. Either I would be a pretty empty person, coz the otaku stuff is pretty much my life, or I would become a kinda gothy person.

  10. Not an otaku, but I'd just read more books/watch more movies/series instead of watching anime.

I've pretty much stopped watching anime. The only close to "otaku" things I do nowadays is loving mai 2D family and being here.

  12. I'd need to be otaku in the first place.

I once thought I was otaku until started seeing news items that made it clear I have never even been close to being otaku.

One needs to do a shit load more than watch a bunch of anime to be otaku.

  13. My life would be the same. Maybe a bit less fun though :(

  14. If the "otaku" was taken out of me, I would have nothing but watch American tv. Oh, how i dread watching when there's nothing but reality shows..

I don't even bother watching tv anymore. Most of the tv I watch comes from netflix.

Sounds like you might be interested in steampunk. :p

  16. I would probably revert to my old FPS PC gaming mode or to my MMORPG mode, probably a combination of both.

  17. I would just be a plain old hikikomori gamer girl.

  18. My life wouldn't be much different, other than the fact that I would fill my free time with a little more video games, writing, and listening to music. Being an Otaku doesn't change who I am, it's simple a very strong interest in anime, manga, or things related to Japan. It's not like I define my life by an interest. :P

I very may well be. I like a lot of the more primal, rustic machinery and the 1800's with their frills everywhere. Very attractive.

  20. I have an addictive personality, so I would be a member of some other obscure subculture.
