Any discussion of 90s J-Pop is hardly complete, IMO, without at least a brief mention of Dreams Come True. Arguably the most famous J-Pop band outside of Japan at the time. :P
Heh. Nostalgia ahoy.
The hairstyles certainly brings back memories of the past.

To be completely honest, the only 90's song from Japan that I know of are Bonnie Pink, Utada Hikaru, and L'arc en ciel.
and some songs that I forgot since I was still a little kid at that time.
By that time, however, my aunt was staying in Japan and she frequently brings back her CDs back to the country for entertainment. I'm glad she did. She inspired me with the japanese culture that I love so much right now.
*cough* Okay, that was uncalled for.
Anyway, I wish to know more. :c
I remember seeing Utada's poster on the guardhouse of the flat unit where I lived as a kid. This was in the early 90s. Guess J-Pop was just as popular then as it was now.
In those days, these songs broadcasting here were mostly able to listen on TV. So I didn't feel like buying CD of these songs.
Especially I prefer to respect Tethuya komuro's works as a composer.

I could probably fill two pages of this thread with links to songs and videos of covers of that song. I've heard way too many versions of it.
It's a cool song though!
lol i can't believe even j-pop spread to the philippines (yes i'm a flip).
There's this jpop song that was really popular in the Philippines during the 80s (or maybe early 90s).
Can any flips here help me name that title?
