Just look at how Alberta used to euthanize retarded people (almost up until the 90's, no less), or how Toronto police abused authority at the G20 summit.
Also, quick correction. Legal age in Canada (across the country) is now 16 (with close age exemptions). It used to be 14, until Harper changed in 2008. 'Bout the only decent thing he's ever done.

Considering the looks of most 16 year olds, its almost impossible to tell them from a 18 year old short of asking them their age...even that is difficult if they lie to you. Yeah its 16, it was changed in 2008. Still don't matter to most people though, its 18 or jail.

Harper is not Bush. Not by a longshot. He's not stupid, or incompetent, and he micro-manages everything himself, instead of handing everything off to people around him.
The reason a lot of people here don't like him is because he's constantly pulling partisan BS, or pushing a hidden conservative agenda.
In terms of financial policies, Harper actually has his shit together, as opposed to the infamous Bush administration, and its incredible record of domestic fuck-ups all over the US economy.

We actually lost alot of jobs just recently, in comparison to the jobs we gained in my area, its a loss in my opinion. All i have to do to confirm most of this is walk downtown to see all the closed down stores, and the ones that are still open are still downsizing. I think they just like to make up false statistics on the whole "our economy is recovering jobs" just to shut people up.
