    I think he would be screwed if you just used some good armour, unless he plans to bend it open while you hammer/cut away...

    There's better sniper rifles out there, for sure. But, if it's what you prefer (in a strictly fantasy sense, I suppose), then that's cool.

    But for melee weapons, spears are the best. Or you could cover your options like that chick from Soul Calibur 4...

    I actually like the way Katana's look, but if im gona have a sword, its gona be the Yukianesa.
    

    A sword that freezes things? Thats awesome. I can just stab the ground and freeze everyone or just shoot freezing blades or hit the opponents weapon and freeze it.

    Hard for me to say what the best is. I personally favor the idea of a saber. Moderate range, one-handed use allows you to wield an additional blade of equal or lesser length or a shield. I also like the idea of tai-chi swords for similar reasons though those have the advantage of being bladed on both sides and better suited for stabs. I'm partial to one-handed weapons.
