    Rahxephon was slow, but it wasn't that bad once you get into it. This is coming from someone who watched and enjoyed "mediocre tripe" Argento Soma (took up to episode 13 to get going) and Neoranga (around episode 19 when they stopped dicking around and got really serious--Neoranga was the "slice-of-life" mecha anime before that combination even existed).

    Funny that Rahxephon gets compared with Ideon (overrated, IMO) and Evangelion (groundbreaking, sure, but also insulting to the audience), when everything about it was a direct rip of Brave Raideen, down to the plot points and ending (minus the bloodbaths and reality resetting). On that tangent, it's disappointing that the attempts of remaking Raideen (Superior Raideen and REIDEEN) were total crap. REIDEEN, in particular, is even slower paced than Neoranga, which already moved at a glacial pace.

    Good Witch of the West, right? I've read the manga. Prepare to be disappointed. Was the novel ever translated?

    honestly i liked neo ranga but no one ever heard of it around me so yea. i saw some pics and i guess i was w9ing to see alot o fskin lol

    Back when Geocities was still alive, I used to run and maintain a Neoranga Shrine page. Heck, I think it's probably the only Neoranga fan page in existence. Then Geocities went down, taking with it all my hard work. ;_;

    Another thing about Neoranga was how mature they treated fanservice. A lot of the fanservice moments weren't just treated as a blink-and-you'll-miss-it throwaway gags for the audience, but some of the characters' fanservice actions actually do have repercussions that impact the story.

    No, not everyone hated Fractale, but everyone did hate Fractale's director/producer/moron responsible.

    It's the same way how I praise Ghost in the Shell yet still despise Mamoru Oshii.

    I don't think you quite get the series. It takes the basis of shonen manga and mutilates it. Then instills realistic character thought processes instead of the usual fantasized/emphasized personalities that stories give us. Kumagawa is an excellent example.

    The only people I've ever heard of hating on HR are just hating because it's mainstream.

    Fucking otaku hipsters.

    Medaka Box is a deconstruction of the Shonen genre.

    Love One Piece!! I read the newest chapter every Wednesday!

    I'm gonna go ahead and say Evangelion. I don't think I've ever met another person on the internet(excluding the Evageeks forums) who actually liked Evangelion as a whole.

    I think it was mainly fans of the manga being angry about the adaption.

    And it's also surreal comedy.
