Pretty sure code geass is well liked same around here for vampire bund but i guess it shows the difference in the places we hang out off sancom.

Legend of the Blue Wolves
I'd heard all the horrible reviews for it, yet I watch and and I think to myself "THIS IS A MASTERPIECE WHY ARE PEOPLE HATING ON IT?"
Then I remember all the hate came off the Aarinfantasy boards, and this was a BL bara with mecha OAV. Suddenly, everything made sense.

All my friends seem to hate every kind of anime..
I know to less people who actually watch anime..
One only watches Narutard, another watches some from time to time, but I think she doesn't watch anything these days. I usually threw something at her, but don't speak to her anymore.
And the last person likes almost everything I like. She hated elfen lied tho, too much limb cutting a blood for a girl I guess. But I didn't actually love it, so doesn't really count.Posted 5 years ago # -

FLCL is an amazing OVA to this day. It will be released on BD in both Japan and the US this year, so people will get another chance to see it.
I didn't like Kuchuu Buranko though. I couldn't tell when they were actually explaining real things from the times they were just making stuff up.
Texhnolyze betrayed me in every possible aspect. I had high hopes from it (since it came from the creator of Lain). I watched all the episodes and in the end it was just a horrible anime for me. So yes, me and my friend hate it wholeheartedly.One anime I liked although it kind of got bad reviews (in the US) is EF-a tale of memories. I liked it so much I bought the limited edition BD. But all the reviews said it's just another clone of Minori's never changing character designs.
