It has been such a long time since I disappeared that I actually aged an entire year!
Given my proclivities, my method of celebrating my 27th Birthday (March 31 for those interested) was to grab a few of of the figures in my collection out of their boxes, light a candle, stick it into a cupcake and snap some photos.
I uploaded them online so I could show a few otaku comrades, but mainly to show them to my old sensei - any 50+ year old Japanese woman would certainly find photos of my harem to be intriguing, I'm sure. ^_^;
(If any longtime readers of the site are wondering about what happened to me, I'll put in a explanation of what happened in a second post.)
Here goes...
To start the night off properly, Soniko baked me a birthday cake!
Ah, look at what she wrote on the cake...she's such a sweetie. ^^
My dear avatar then came out to wish me well!
Just to be sure Index was in good company, I helped one of my several other Index's out of her unopened box for the event.
Candles burn hot, and nun garb was a bit too warm for them...
The twins were glad to welcome Mikuru, sporting a lovely goth outfit, to the party.
Not to be outdone, Mikuru introduced her own identical twin into the mix! ^^;
Suddenly, a shy (and quite moe) Nanako meekly interrupts and reminds me that the candle is burning out and that I should replace it...
Nagi-sama and Tsuruya-san were nearby and had a spare candle handy. The night was thus saved.
(And then the forum image attachment tool ran out of slots. Enjoy linked photos from my dummy Photobucket account instead!)
A pair of Asuka twins brought some provisions - one with a green box of canned bread "emergency NERV rations", and the other with the music box she was attached to (which played 'Fly me to the moon', of course).
Miku, Lacus and my Tsukasa were some other small figures laying nearby, and I was glad to have them join in...
Haruka and Mizuho were two other girls already out of their boxes, so they joined in too:
Rei might've been jealous at the dual Asukas earlier, so she came out in a cute sukumizu outfit to catch my eye. Asuka did likewise, but could only find one tiny band-aid to use as a moe decoration since Rei had already used up the rest to accessorize her swimsuit.
Wrapping the festive occasion up, I gathered as many of the lovely girls as I could fit into a single frame for one last photo!
