    They seem awfully keen on silly privacy laws for a bunch of countries which mandate ISPs maintain huge spy databases for government to keep an eye on their citizens.

    The site is now open in what we'll call beta mode (it is wholly feature complete), and has been mass populated to prime the pump:

    Please feel free to take a look around and upload images.

    I think the main determinant of what is allowed is going to be image quality, in terms of resolution and jpg quality, as well as the quality of the image itself.

    Nudity will be allowed in the "questionable" rating, sex in "explicit." Fetishes to go in questionable or explicit depending on content.

    I'm still not sure about the best way to communicate the desired style of imagery - visitors to the main galleries will likely understand there is supposed to be a certain level of erotic artistry to such images, which is often found in Japanese "AV" photography.

    If users prefer to limit content displayed, they can already easily do so, but perhaps this can be improved with the addition of some simple links and UI elements.

    I expect to formally announce the site on main shortly.

    Does pregnancy not fall under the "obscene" images outlawed on 26th January, 2009? I think we had articles about it on SanCon, too. I seem to remember SanCon framing it as an anti-loli law, but that was only part of it. Of course, I could be mistaken. I'm not much of a lawyer. Perhaps I misunderstood?

    On "somewhat" (un)related note (these are pics too!): Does Sankaku have a mot (AKA motival) thread of sorts? If not, could we make one?

    There actually is a motivational thread, but it hasn't been active in some time. Excessive use of motivational's in place of actual thoughts is frowned upon, but perhaps keeping it all in one place is acceptable. I don't see any problem w/ reviving the old thread.

    Extremely relevant question I just thought of. We desperately need all previous galleries with good non-watermarked pictures to be on idol.sankakucomplex for purpose of archival. Anyone up to it?

    edit: if for some reason Artefact doesn't want to double-host those galleries, by all means shut me up.
